The SL-IM (SLide IMaging) system provides fully comprehensive solutions for both imaging acquisition and reporting of immunofluorescence analysis (IFA). This system is composed of a digital recording camera with specific acquisition and data filing software. The SL-IM architecture was purposely designed to provide simple access to any tools required to set-up a guided patient report and any associated images. Pre-recorded patient reports and images from the database can also be accessed at any moment, with or without microscope connection. An additional feature to significantly save time during acquisition phase is the SL-IM software image management which automatically refines all the main recording-camera parameters like: gain, contrast, colours, white balance, length of exposure and sharpness for each image.

AP-Blot is a fully automated Dot Blot processor able to manage in the same run: sample dilution and its dispensation, reagent dispensation, incubation times, strip washings, dot assessment by image processing of strip; the supplied software is also to provide the final report and record the results. Pictures of processed strips are directly taken from a digital colour camera when are still into the allotment trays. The system is able to automatically determine the strip position, identify the related blots, measure the blot intensity and give the results. Then the digital images are stored with a detailed report in a file, avoiding the tiring and time consuming task to collate the strips for the record.

BCR is a reading device for the bar codes on the sample tubes and relevant rack. It has been conceived and carried out for the automated systems of DAS/AP line, to which BCR is a perfect complement. The use of BCR guarantees without any possible mistake, thanks to its security system and rack positioning keys, the association of the read sample with the result and patient code.
